The Next Aid Station

The minds behind DC Peaks also host The Next Aid Station, a weekly trail and ultra running podcast. Tune in for trail running news, the hosts’ podium picks for upcoming races, plenty of tangents, and their second-favorite sport: the WNBA.

The name is the philosophy. In an ultra, you don’t think about the whole race. You just get to the next aid station. Jake used the same mindset to get through a prison sentence: just get to the next visit, just get to Christmas. He tells the story in his book, Trial Running: Learning Perseverance Through Life’s Aid Stations.

Why we do this

OUR MISSION

DC Peaks exists to throw down an ultra marathon that’s as gritty as it is gorgeous. We’re here for the big climbs, the epic descents, and the kind of views that make the pain worth it. This isn’t just a race — it’s an adventure designed by ultra runners who know suffering can be fun when you’re in good company. Our mission is to deliver a course that tests your limits, a community that keeps you moving, and a finish line you’ll never forget.
